he Woodbury Lions Club is presenting their 41st Annual Car Show on June 9, 2019 at Hollow Park in Woodbury, CT.

The day-long event is expected to attract over three hundred of the best classic cars in the Northeast and over a thousand spectators. This year’s special theme is a tribute to our veterans.

Cars can begin to enter for judging at 8 a.m., with the first three hundred entries receiving a free dashboard plaque, with general admission beginning at 10 a.m.. Admission price is $15 per car, $6 per person, and children under ten, $1. Judging begins at noon, with trophies presented at 3 p.m.

This event will contain all the fun and excitement for the whole family that has made past shows a success. The food booth has been expanded with breakfast sandwiches being sold starting at 8 a.m., along with the usual hot dogs and hamburgers offered starting at 11 a.m. The show also includes raffles, music, a “Touch-a-Truck”, and a vendor area. There is still room for a few vendors, especially those who sell automobile-related wares. Sorry, but no food product vendors can be accepted. Space is $25 for a 10’x10’ area. Contact the club through their email, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for a registration form.

The Lions use the proceeds from the car show, as well as from their Haunted Hayride, to award scholarships to graduating Nonnewaug high school seniors. This year, local students going on to college received twenty-thousand dollars in financial aid from the Lions. The Woodbury Lions also support many other organizations, including the Connecticut Eye Research Foundation at Yale and UConn, the Connecticut Lion Low Vision Centers, the American School for the Deaf in Bloomfield, CRIS Radio, the Woodbury Community Services Council, the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation and Connecticut Hospice in Southbury.
